Spooners P2P 2019 Report

We were luckier with the weather this year and it dried up in time to provide good racing ground. The day itself was sunny but a bit chilly.

The course looked a picture –  a massive thank you to Julian Greatrex, Paul Kelly and their team for all their hard work preparing the course.

There were a lot of new people helping on the day along with many familiar faces, without you all the day couldn't happen. Thank you for your support

We had 54 runners which provided some competitive racing, although the hunt race was a walkover

The new race "Cherrybrook Chance Chace" for horses which hadn't won since 2017 proved to be popular with owners and trainers.

There is plenty of improvement works planned for this year. The car park and race track are to be airated. The exit gate from the car park is to have work carried out to improve drains and hopefully stop the flooding of the cottages down the lane and the make it easier for cars to exit the course onto the lane
